Rexroth
The German company Bosch Rexroth is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Bosch Group. It was founded in 2001 through the merger of Mannesmann Rexroth AG with the Bosch Automation Technology division in order to combine expertise in the areas of drive and control technologies. ctrlX from Bosch Rexroth opens up a wide range of possible applications
The ctrlX control system is based on the Linux operating System ctrlX OS and offers integrated, innovative features such as ctrlX Data Layer for efficient data management and the ctrlX Device Portal for simple device configuration. The system can be flexibly customised and expanded in terms of its functionalities using apps.
This allows it to be used, for example, as a:

gateway
The possibilities are almost unlimited, depending on the individual requirements and applications. Whether for programming in classic PLC languages for reliable control tasks, for precise motion control of servo drives and robots, for networking machines and systems, for securing networks and machine communication or for IoT applications - ctrlX can be flexibly adapted to your needs.
These are identical in terms of their hardware, but differ in terms of their pre-installed apps and thus their configuration options.
For an additional charge, further apps with unlimited runtimes can be added at a later date and downloaded here. This means that the system is also impressive when it comes to warehousing, as many different applications can be realised with a single piece of hardware thanks to the apps.
You will also find a large number of ctrlX digital I/O modules and ctrlX analogue I/O modules for connecting sensors and actuators. The connection requires the use of the EtherCAT bus coupler ctrlX I/O XB-EC-12 - R911406090, which you can also purchase from the range.
For visualisation tasks, you can use ctrlX HMI Panels or Web Panels from Bosch Rexroth, which are also characterised by their open concept. The data is provided by the connected control unit via the HMI interface and then visualised in the browser.
The ctrlX basic set R911427228 from Bosch Rexroth makes it easier for you to get started with the ctrlX ecosystem. Among other things, it already contains the ctrlX COREplus X3 controller with three pre-installed apps and two digital I/O modules.
